This panel discussion will focus on how COVID-related restrictions on in
person schooling and organized sports have affected the educational,
social, mental health and well-being of our youth. Panelists include a
pediatrician who is the Interim Chair of the Illinois Children’s Mental
Health Partnership, the superintendent of Springfield Public Schools
(District 186), the executive director of the Illinois High School
Association (IHSA), and a local high school student-athlete.
